Situated in the regional town of Mildura, between Victoria’s metropolitan capital Melbourne and the country’s remote interior, NAP Contemporary’s exhibition program reflects the gallery’s positioning between worlds.

Directors Erica Tarquinio and Riley Davison bring a wealth of knowledge from working in esteemed indigenous owned art centres in the Western Desert and Aṉangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Lands, to a commercial gallery focusing on showcasing significant voices in Pacific art.

With its beginnings as a Instagram account, New Australian Paintings, NAP opened it’s bricks and mortar gallery space in 2022, followed by appearances in national and international art fairs in 2023, including Aotearoa Art Fair, New Zealand, and Spring1883 Art Fair, Melbourne Australia.
