Mildura City Heart is Mildura’s CBD precinct, spanning from Seventh Street to Tenth Street and Deakin Avenue to Pine Avenue, and is home to more than 300 businesses. 

Mildura City Heart Inc is the trader association responsible for and governed by an elected community-based board of management.

Led by Mildura City Heart management and staff, Mildura City Heart organise, advocate and enhance the experience of traders and the community

It is responsible for implementing its Strategic Plan.

Properties located within the boundary of the defined Mildura City Heart precinct and classified as business are charged an additional special rate. Funds raised through the special rate are used by Mildura City Heart Inc to promote and improve the Mildura City Heart to provide a unique, quality, lifestyle experience. Their primary purpose is to develop, market and promote the CBD.

While most funds to operate Mildura City Heart Inc are raised through Mildura Rural City Council’s MCH Special Rate, Mildura City Heart operates independently of the council to represent traders and deliver its Strategic Plan and Business Plan to be the heart of Mildura’s business and community by adding value to the trader and visitor experience.

Mildura Rural City Council owns and is responsible for the physical space and infrastructure within the CBD – the amenities, roads, paths, light poles and sound system. 

Mildura City Heart is then responsible for the events, promotions and activations in the precinct – music, promotional banners on light poles, events and activities.

Gift cards are available for purchase from the Mildura City Heart office at 63a Langtree Mall, the Mildura Visitor Information Centre at 180-190 Deakin Ave and here on website.

Needing more than one? Mildura City Heart gift cards are perfect for every occasion, from awards to gifts and student prizes. If you have a bulk order, contact us for an order form and we’ll do the rest, letting you know when your cards are ready to collect! 

Mildura City Heart is a proud supporter of our local community, sporting and education groups – through gift card donations, equipment loan and supporting events delivered in the Mildura City Heart precinct. 

Events we’ve supported include the Desert City Rodders’ Goanna Run, the SMECC Multicultural Festival and the Easter Powersports Show and Shine.

Mildura City Heart knows that at the heart of every thriving CBD is its village of community members. 

There are several ways you can get involved. 

  • Join the Mildura City Heart board
  • Read our governance documents, including the 2025-2030 Strategic Plan, annual reports or come along to the AGM
  • Contact the Mildura City Heart office about joining our trader communication channels
  • If you’ve got time or skills you’d like to give back to your community, we always welcome more volunteers to support our events and activations. 

Mildura City Heart is with traders every step of the way in linking their business with our Gift Card program, including providing all training and support.

We’re also fortunate to be home to the Family & Child Hub, which offers a safe and welcoming space to use toilets, changing facilities and feeding areas. The Hub is open 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
